Walking Group

Do you like to walk?

Upper Lansdowne has a community walking group.

On the second Tuesday of each month a group of locals get together for a walk somewhere not too far away.

Its a very casual group; you don’t have to be particularly fit, just to enjoy walking and have a chat while seeing some of the great countryside we have here in the valley.

We usually meet at the hall at 8 am and carpool. The walks vary from 5 to 15 kms followed by morning tea +/- lunch . Some walks require a drive of an hour or so to get to the start, other times we explore locally.

Disclaimer: This group is not officially connected to the Hall, nor is it supervised, official, or accredited in any way. You participate entirely at your own risk knowing that the walks are not pre-checked for suitability, appropriateness for age, capability or safety. Some of the walks could be considered dangerous e.g. they visit unmarked and unfenced lookouts.
