Ten Strings And A Goat Skin is a bilingual folk/fusion trio from Prince Edward Island who present traditional and original music inspired by their Atlantic Canadian histories and roots, and infused with pop and world rhythms.
The trio never forgets its powerful ties to the many musics of PEI, the island’s rich mix of Celtic and Francophone elements that ramble from mouth music to foot percussion. Originals take their cues sonically from this wealth and lyrically from a deeply felt connection to the history of Eastern Canada (“Caledonia”).
“Probably one of the most exciting and progressive new roots groups to come through the Burren in some time…. The future for these boys is huge. Traditional music – roots and branches – on both sides of the Atlantic, is in very good hands!” Brian O’Donovan Burren Backroom Sessions – Boston – 2016
“Rowan, Caleb and Jesse are truly talented musicians and so very charming. Many in our audience were unfamiliar with TSAAGS – they took a chance – and they were amazed, impressed, thrilled, and moved.” Nida Tautydas McIntyre Hall Performing Arts Center
“These three kids get up, they start performing, and I’m like, ‘Damn! They’ve got it all: Stage presence, musicianship, vocals…” Kevin Dunwoody Vermont World Music Festival
