Great news. The long range forecast for 19 February is a relatively cool day. Most of our events don't focus on fundraising - they are just great excuses for the community to get together. But the Festival of Food and Cake is unashamedly fundraising . We hope all users and friends of the hall will support it. Why not gather some friends together to come along. Children welcome. It's now less than 2 weeks away so make sure you book soon. The ticket price includes a great home-made 'high tea'. And don't forget the lineup now also includes 'Acchord' and 'Salt' as well as 'Wingsong' and 'Kantabile'. It should be a brilliant afternoon of food and music and fun! ...

Great feedback from the lovely Kip Winter and Dave Wilson Winter Wilson. It seems they liked us as much as we liked them! They said:
"When we received the detailed directions to the venue and accommodation, we knew that this was going to be a well-organised event. What that didn't prepare us for was the warmth of the welcome we would receive in Upper Lansdowne. The community spirit shines through, from the team that put on the event to the audience that came and supported it."

Remember what a great night we had when Zumpa came to town. Well here's what David de Santi of Zumpa said about us:
"What a memorable and lovely night we had at the Upper Lansdowne Hall playing our Italian folk music! The audience was so attentive and appreciative. We also enjoyed a lovely home cooked meal and peaceful country accommodation and hospitality. Would thoroughly recommend jumping off the Pacific Highway and getting a gig at the Hall with it's lovely cultured local community."

You now have less than a week to book your Festival of Song and Cake tickets if you want to get the discount rate of $22 a seat. It will be a great afternoon of listening to fine music, particularly from local choirs Kantabile and Wingsong, while sipping tea and eating sandwiches and scones etc. What could be better, except the knowledge you are also helping to raise money for the hall's much needed commercial kitchen. Don't miss this one! ...

We will be entertained by not one, but 4 groups: InAcchord, Salt, Wingsong and Kantabile. This is a big fundraising event as the hall desperately needs a new commercial kitchen and we are grateful to the performers for donating their time. The singing and the included afternoon tea (High Tea of sandwiches, scones and cakes) will be magnificent. Only $25. ...
